Trust Protocol

Multi-Factor Verification Process

Our multi-factor protocol ensures every scholar profile and journal listing is genuine, authenticated, and transparent.

Scholar Trust

4-Factor Scholar Verification Protocol

Every verified academic profile on Editor's Board undergoes a comprehensive 4-point review to validate identity, credentials, and publication track record.

1. ORCID Registry Sync

Researchers link their 16-digit ORCID iD, and we pull affiliation and publication data from the public ORCID registry.

Full OAuth-based authentication (confirming you're the actual owner of the iD) is rolling out next.

2. Institutional Affiliation

Academic domain validation (.edu, .ac.uk, .res.in) and university directory confirmation.

Confirms active faculty, research, or postdoctoral standing at the stated university.

3. Academic Credentials & Degrees

Doctoral qualifications (PhD, MD, ScD) and academic appointments verified against institutional records.

Ensures scholars meet minimum criteria for Associate Editor and Editorial Board roles.

4. Bibliometric Records

Publication records, citation counts, and h-index cross-checked via Scopus and Crossref APIs.

Validates authentic research impact and domain expertise.

Journal Trust

Two-Tier Journal Verification Standards

We separate Journal Legitimacy (ISSN & Publisher) from Database Indexing (Scopus/WoS/PubMed) to foster new legitimate journals while maintaining absolute clarity for applicants.

Tier 1: Platform Legitimacy

ISSN & Publisher Verification

Official ISSN (Print / Online) confirmed via ISSN International Portal
Publisher corporate identity & scholarly society affiliation validated
Official journal website, aims, and scope verified against predatory practices
Editor-in-Chief credentials and contact authorization confirmed

Tier 2: Database Indexing

Independent Index Tracking

Scopus, Web of Science (SCI/SSCI/ESCI), and PubMed indexing cross-checked
DOAJ and UGC-CARE open-access registers confirmed
Emerging non-indexed journals labeled with transparent peer-review badge
Continuous compliance monitoring to guard against dropped indexing
